The word "Reiki" comes from two Japanese terms: "Rei," meaning universal, and "Ki," meaning life force energy. This energy is believed to be vital for overall wellness. During a typical session, clients can experience a deep sense of tranquility and relief from stress, which can aid in physical and emotional healing.
A session begins with filling out a consultation paper and a conversation to understand your unique needs and any specific issues you wish to address during the session. You’ll be asked to lie down fully clothed on a comfortable flat surface. It is optional to have soft, soothing music play in the background to create a calming and serene atmosphere conducive to healing. During the session, I will gently hover my hands just above your body moving through various positions, focusing on different energy centers known as chakras to restore balance and harmony. You may feel pleasant sensations such as warmth, tingling, or a subtle sense of energy flowing through you. It's common to experience deep relaxation, and some individuals even find themselves drifting off to sleep during the process. Throughout the session, you'll be encouraged to focus on your breath and let go of any tension or stress you may be holding onto. It is optional to conclude with a thoughtful debriefing, where you will have the opportunity to share your feelings and experiences. It’s completely normal to feel a mix of emotions afterward. Many people leave feeling rejuvenated and balanced in both body and mind. It’s also important to drink plenty of water following your session to help support and enhance the energy flow throughout your body.
